I didn’t start with money.

I started with awareness.

While I was in the university, I was just a regular student trying to figure life out. No rich background. No capital. No connections. Just a strong question in my mind:

“How can I start making money for myself while still in school?”

At that time, Facebook was booming. People were chasing likes and attention. I saw something different — I saw opportunity.

Instead of complaining about not having capital, I started going around my hostel asking a simple question:

“Who has a phone for sale?”

I collected second-hand phones from students who wanted to sell. There was even a notice board in the hostel where students pasted their phones for sale. I would inspect the phones, add my own ₦5,000 or ₦10,000 profit margin, and post them on Facebook.

That was it.

No big office.

No investors.

No special advantage.

Just understanding that attention + positioning = income.

I started selling consistently.

From there, I went deeper.

I learned how to run Facebook ads.

I moved into e-commerce.

I started selling waist belts, water purifiers, and multiple physical products.

Some sales came organically.

Some came from paid advertising.
